quick question
for emails since its not going to the player directly, probably an agent or associate, should you write a page long letter like you do for TTMs or can u just say your a huge fan of the player and maybe write a few sentnces and then ask if they can send you a autograph

Depends. Usually, with coaches, I keep it short and sweet, tell them I am a big fan, and would really appreciate if they would send an autograph. But with players or agents, I write a nice long email explaining I am a huge fan, state some of their big games, and politely ask for an autograph. Just some guidelines I use.

I don't have a TON of experience, but I usually write a decent amount for players or celebrities. The way I look at it is that if they are willing to mail me something, the least I can do is butter them up a little bit lol and I like to make myself stand out a little bit, because you never know how many requests they get, and how many they fulfill

Depends, if I actually am a big fan, I'll make it a little longer, but I like to keep it short and sweet.

do you adress it to the player or say Mr/Mrs associate/agent/secreatry of Player X

Usually, I address it Mr/Mrs. (player) if it is via their official site. If it a coach, I address it Mr/Mrs (sectretary or coach, depending on the email address)

Its most likely not getting "read" anyway. Unless something catches their eye.. They are looking for a mailing address to send something to, as they are getting a ton of requests. So short and sweet is usually the way to go...

Should you be hitting someone who has gotten drilled with these for years like Judge Judy, then the short and sweet maybe the way to go. I actually like being a little longer winded. There are a few players and celebrities that I have exchanged multiple emails with after an autograph request. To me those rare instances are cool.
