    Kinda mad !!!

What do you think of some one who buys all the 1/1 1/5 and extreamly rare cards of a player. This person has been dooing it for years and has left almost no 1/1 of this player. I no its a free world but there are other people who would like some nice cards of that player also and what I'm trying to say is I'm just a little mad I found out this guy is the guy talking all the cards I wanted over the years getting out bid on by him all the time It's like he has a endless supply of money for cards! I left the name of the guy who had been doing this out and the name of the player he is talking all the cards of. I'll just say he is semi well known for collecting hockey cards

i could see that being very frustrating, but you said it...its a free world.
I collect anze kopitar as my main guy and honestly there are thousands of cool cards i know i will never have. I dont let it get me down tho cause i collect kopitar!
Its cool to have some real nice cards of his but i just find is sweet to have cards of him rather then cool cards.
Thats the way im looking at it. If you in the hobby for cool rare cards i hope you have a decent job cause its gonna cost ya $$$$$$. Personally i'd ruin it for myself if i go out breaking my own bank trying to obtain every cool card trying to outbid everyone else with huge pocket books. thats just me tho.

It's not the fact the this guy collects the same player it's the fact that I have found video proof of cards over the years that I bid on and this is the guy who out bid me on that card every time and I just lost another one to him a few days ago. It's like he knows what cards I want and buys them so I can't.

Or he just happens to collect the same player as you and hoards them all away.

He obviously has enough money to be able to afford whatever cards he wants of that particular player which sucks for you, but it doesn't make him a bad guy.

I mean, I seriously doubt he is buying them so that you can't have them. It stands to reason that if you like the cards enough to bid on them, then they are obviously nice cards, thus is he collects the same player, then he would want them just as bad as you do.

He just happens to have more cash readily available.

My suggestion is that there are plenty of non 1/1 cards available, do don't get hung up on the 1/1's.

Maybe also try to trade for some or buy them on here instead of just trying to buy them off ebay. He obviously lives on ebay, so you have to go where he isn't.

Kinda harsh ... but too bad =P

If you want the card more, you'll pay more ... obviously he wants the cards more than you do, and can afford to pay top dollar for them.

Sure there are cards we all see on ebay and say, "I sure want to add that to the PC," especially with 1/1s or rare cards. But with things like 1/1s, you either got the money or you dont.

I actually remember back in the 07/08 season, I asked Lee if I could have a card on ebay ( meaning asking if he wouldnt mind sitting this one out ). I explained why I really wanted the card and he said no problem, I ended up winning the card ( around $1100 ) with literally only a few dollars left on my max bid. Maybe try that route, shoot him a message and see what he says, but ready for him to also say no

1/1's are overrated anyway, they used to be special now they are just overproduced with having 1 of each player per set nowadays.

The whole reason why I'm so pissed is because I never new it was the same guy buying all of the cards I wanted until now. I just saw video proof of this guy showing off his cards. I lost a bidding war the other day with him, but how is it that every card I have tried to win he is always the one who ends up with it in the end!!! I have been cOllecting this player for 10 years and still don't have a 1/1 of him ! Why because the same guy buys all of them..... Sry for the rant I'm just pissed I now no it's been the same guy

I don't really understand why you keep bringing up the "video proof" about the guy. Lots of people have very impressive collections, and they like to show them off.

It's part of the hobby - doesn't matter how big of a collector you are of a particular player or team, there will always be someone out there that has more resources to get the top cards. There's so many cards of top players these days that it is impossible to get them all anyways. The sooner we all accept these simple truths the easier it will be to enjoy the cards that we do have rather than being envious of others because they have the ones we don't.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Stop being such a crybaby and set a sniper with a brutal maxbid. If you really want a 1/1 card place a bid that you know you can't loose with.
