Hopefully you had a great relationship with your grandparents. As I know I miss mine terribly but they helped shape who I am today. Nice poem as well.

They taught us how to love, not hate.

Huge turn out for visitation, but one other thing made me rather sad.
My dad came. When he walked in the door, I went over to give him a hug.
All he did was barely touched my shoulder, said "HEY", never acknowledged my wife or say goodbye to us.
I knew there was a reason I consider my stepdad my father.
She wore same outfit as the pic in obituary. Looked about 25 yrs younger than she did a month ago.

Yeah...we send fathers day, bday, & Christmas cards. I haven't even gotten a card since high school graduation(1992). He never came to our wedding in '03. He called a few days after the wedding...he was drunk & ask if I got her pregnant yet.
I think he's treatin' like this cuz I had a vasectomy shortly after wedding & he won't have grandchildren from me. I'm epileptic, wife has a few medical conditions, neither of us drive, I only work part-time, wife's havin' trouble findin' work...wouldn't be a wise decision although we'd love to have children. Have to stick w/our cats...update their facebook pages!!!
