How do you block someone on facebook?

I was lucky enough not to have too much dramma on facebook. However every once in a while there is someone dosen't know how to stay in their place and I have to block them. Can someone help me? Thanks.

So you're trying to unfriend them or keep them as a friend but don't show their posts?

I don't even think this person is my facebook friend. He left a dumb message on one of my pictures and everytime that I comment in a particular group that we are in he has some smart alec response. I'm trying to ignore him because I think that he is doing it for a response but I'm about to snap on him.

Oh in that case, I'm not sure you can block his responses or even choose to "ignore" them as you can on here. That'd be nice, but I don't think it's possible.
