    Titanium Boxes

How long do you guys think they will be selling at 100$ for?
I think the price of the box is going to rocket soon like 20-30$?

$100 is the MAPP (minimum advertised price policy) set by Panini.

If retailers could get more, they would be free to charge more already. After 30 days, 'unauthorized' retailers are able to sell unopened product. This typically causes a drop in price because Panini-direct retailers are able to under-sell the second wave of retailers.

I believe thats what happened to elite. $120--> $99 now at my LCS.

I do think titanium will go up; just a matter of time. Its sad though. All products should be as loaded as titanium, but the price is primarily based on the customers and how much they want it.

Look at Artifacts went from $100 to $140 wouldn't be surprised one bit if the same happened with Titanium.

pretty much all products go down, even contenders is at $90 now. I will say titanium will either stay the same or go down to $90

The MAPP programs from Panini and UD have created a pretty distinct product life cycle...

    PERIOD ONE
    PRODUCT RELEASE
    - MAPP Pricing with unopened product available ONLY from authorized dealers

    PERIOD TWO

TIME ELAPSES (30-days Panini, 90-days UD)
    - Prices drop and product is available at wholesale prices to ANY resale business

    PERIOD THREE

TIME ELAPSES (variable based on product)
    - Price increases as product is no longer available at wholesale prices

You can take just about any box price and find out where it is in its life cycle based on its price.

Elite and Contenders are in period two, Titanium is in period one, Artifacts is in period three...

I paid $85 for my first 2 boxes then $90 for the second pair. I hope it stays around this price or drops.
