I don't know if anyone should ever use the word "invest" when referring to sports cards but if you are looking for a young up and coming star with a bright future then Blake Griffin is not a bad choice. However the key to any kind of investment portfollio is to diversify your investments and never put all your eggs in one basket. As you know a ball player is only 1 injury or scandal from having his/her career going down the drain.

I wouldn't "invest" in him unless I were a fan. He will never have that magical legacy like some others such as Kobe or Jordan had. I think his stuff will be worth the most right now, while he's young and hot. After awhile nobody will care that much about him. This is why I gave up on investing in young guys for the most part. If you want a true bang for your buck, look into some of these older guys who you know are on their way to the hall of fame. Guys like Paul Pierce who have left an impact and whos stuff is affordable for the time being. Now if you are a fan, go for it. But otherwise, I don't see big potential for making money in Blake Griffin.

Mind you his stuff is probably smoking hot at the moment, but if you want a great investment, try Kevin Durant. I'd wait another couple weeks because of the fact that the Thunder just came off of that great playoff run. After a couple weeks, his stuff should come down a bit. Stick to the players best rookie autos too. But as far as young talent, Durant is the best out there. I guarantee you that Durant will put together an unbelievable career that will rival the likes of Bird and Bryant.

No, his peak (card value wise) has come and gone, and his playing style is not good for his knees and body. Not the best investment.

No, big mistake. I'll invest in some solid HOF type players like Durant.
