I pulled a beautiful card this past Christmas 12/19 The cup Jonathan Toews Honorable numbers with a sick patch. I brought this card to the toronto expo to feel out what I could get for trade/sale. Not only did I get taxed at the border for my cards I brought, I was insulted by the low ball offers on the card, not to mention someone accused me of selling a "fake" patch. I've seen right after I pulled the card some ebay sales of a plain jane patch on this card sell for $250+ more recent an ok patch sold for $150. My question is should I hold on to the card and see if the Blackhawks win the cup or try and get what I can for the card now? Any help would be appreciated.Towes.jpg

Even if they win the cup most likely it wont go up, its his rookie card that will jump the most. And i have heard of fake patches, people use hats for the patch. But your card looks good, and it is sick card. If i could afford it i would make you a offer. And if it was 19/19 you could alot more.

It may jump a little but as said above his rookies are the ones that will spike the most. Its a beautiful card and I would see what you can get now but hold off for the right price. Someone will make you a solid offer you just might have to be a little patient.

If the Hawks win the cup this year, sell it by running a 0.99 cent no reserve auction on Ebay and let it ride.

It won't hurt to wait. Chances are it won't decrease in value if they get bumped before the finals. This seems to be the type of card a Toews collector would want rather than the type of card someone would randomly by based on playoff hype. A toews collector will know the value and if they make it to the finals it can only improve the interest in the card.

I had the 09/10 Toews Honorable Numbers /19 ( 3clr logo patch, and 2clr nameplate or number patch )

I recall moving it for under $200, and purchasing it for around $150.

I would be interested in this card if you were interested in making a deal around those rough values.

As for holding it or not .... the longer you wait on "new" cards the more it decreases in value. Very few cards go up .... and if you're waiting for the playoff boom to happen its already started .... for rookie year cards
