More Ebay Blues
Sold a card last Sunday night, nothing big, like $26 and change. buyer asks if they can pay next Sunday for whatever BS reason they had at the time. The next Sunday rolls around and the buyer requests that I cancel the transaction because they no longer NEED the card. Seriously, c'mon have some decency and pay for what you bought. Why leave me hanging a week then request it be cancelled. I really really hate ebay for allowing this to go on with no recourse except to block the buyer. We should be able to give a negative, or a hit on their account of some sort. What happened to ebay transactions being contracts? Anyways, I know there isn't anything I can do about it but it really is frustrating. Now I will re-list the card and it will likely go for less, and even better, someone will think I shilled it the first time around.
OK, rant over.

Buyers can't get negatives. This is why this stuff happens.

File an unpaid item dispute. That will sit on their account and after a while their account will be suspended if the buyer builds up enough of them.

NPB him. Hard. Keep those messages and be sure to forward them to eBay.

Only if he is considered of "legal age" in the state he is from.
Some States allow minors (13 years of age and higher) to enter into contracts, most States say 16...others 18. NOT fair either way!
I agree with everyone else though...dispute! eBay sucks bad enough without butt-wipes like this hanging around!

With eBay, then that's hard to win.
If you dispute it, and force him into paying, there is nothing that stops him from negging the seller - and eBay will not remove feedback just becuase there is no good reason to leave it.

eBay will not suspend a buyer if they bid like a wild man. There is a buyer out there that bids on 200 cards per month, and only ends up honoring his payments on half of them.
Because he does this, ebay loves him as a customer, and he continues with this nonsense now for about the last 5 months.
He stiffed me for 21 auctions and has done it to at least 8 of us on SCF. His eBay user id is: oce7ans
If you bid on tons of stuff and only pay for a half or a 3rd of it, eBay will not gas you, and it's unfortunate.

I hate when that happens, my dad is currently experiencing that with a helmet he sold on ebay. What ever happened to the biggest rule of all, "dont buy anything with money you DONT have". I just don't understand the logic behind doing otherwise.
