    Hello all

Hi! I have recently dusted off the old card book from when I was a kid and forgot how much fun I used to have collecting cards! My oh my how the game has changed. Over the past few weeks I have picked up a few boxes of more up to date cards as well as a few eBay purchases. I look forward to reading through these forums on a regular basis and maybe picking up a few gems. The one question I have, and if I need to ask this in another section please do not hesitate to point me elsewhere, is when I decide I would like to send off a couple of cards for grading, the centering aspect is taken from the card being centered on the penny sleeve or the top loader? This may seem like a silly question but I can't seem to find the info on this.

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to SCF!

The centering doesn't have to do with the penny sleeve or toploader. The centering grade is based off of the border surrounding the main image on the card.

    9.5 centering vs 8.5 centering

See how the red on the bottom and top of the Kareem is not even like it is on the Aguirre? You might need to zoom in on the picture in order to see the difference.

    I hope that helps.
