By The Numbers: Panini Anthology Checklist Breakdown

So, got bored and had some time to do this, stupid computer won't render fast enough... Also thanks to Tivo92 or The Hockey Couple for their awesome version of the checklist :)

    A couple notes:
-This is for group breaks mainly as it only shows the hits
-Just because they have that many cards doesn't mean you'll get any ;)
    -It INCLUDES parallels

I will be updating it with Silhouette totals in a second, but for all you first night breaks, this should help you out:
All cards. This list has the total number of cards that a team appears at least once on. For example, The Flyers' starting 6 has 6 flyers but only counts for 1 card
    1. Flyers: 66
    2. Sabres: 63
    3. Montreal: 60*
    4. Blackhawks: 56
    5. Columbus: 56
    6. Rangers: 54
    7. Wings: 53
    8. Predators: 51
    9. Senators: 48
    10. Penguins: 48
    11. Avalanche: 47
    12. Edmonton: 47
    13. Ducks: 41
    14. Capitals: 39
    15. Canucks: 37
    16. Islanders: 36
    17. Leafs: 33
    18. Devils: 31
    19. Flames: 30
    20. Coyotes: 30
    21. Kings: 27
    22. Hurricanes: 19
    23. Wild: 19
    24. Lightning: 19
    25. Bruins: 18*
    26. Panthers: 18
    27. Stars: 17
    28. Jets: 17
    29. Sharks: 13
    30. Blues: 5

    * denotes where a player is listed on 2 teams

    Silhouettes and Luxury Suite:

    Luxury Suite Combos:
    Rangers: 9
    Bruins: 5
    Montreal: 4
    Ducks: 3
    Leafs: 2
    Flyers: 2
    Avalanche: 2
    Predators: 1
    Kings: 1
    Penguins: 1
    Hurricanes: 1 (Whaler card)
    Sharks: 1
    Flames: 1
    Hawks: 1
    Jets: 1
    Sabres: 1
    Capitals: 1
    Senators: 1
    Devils: 1
    Wings: 1

Luxury Suite RCs (Fall around 1-3 per case):
    Montreal: 3
    Devils: 2
    Flyers: 2
    Wings: 2
    Leafs: 2
    Rangers: 2
    Oilers: 1
    Capitals: 1
    Blue Jackets: 1
    Penguins: 1
    Hurricanes: 1
    Coyotes: 1
    Ducks: 1
    Avalanche: 1
    Wild: 1
    Jets: 1
    Islanders: 1
    Hawks: 1
    Sabres: 1
    Canucks: 1
    Lightning: 1
    Panthers: 1

Silhouettes are 1 per case to my knowledge:

    Rookie Silhouettes:
    Wings: 2, Nyqvist, Smith
    Rangers: 1, Hagelin
    Canucks: 1, Kassian
    Penguins: 1, Depres
    Predators: 1, Ellis
    Islanders: 1, De Haan
    Ducks: 1, Holland
    Avalanche: 1, Gaunce

Veteran Silhouettes (Don't know how often these fall, or if they are on top of RC Silhouettes):
    Kings: 2, Kopitar, Quick
    Leafs: 1, Kessel
    Canucks: 1, H. Sedin
    Penguins: 1, Staal
    Sabres: 1, Vanek
    Devils: 1, Parise
    Wings: 1, Lidstrom
    Bruins: 1, Rask
    Oilers: 1, Khabibulin

    Percentages are coming up!

    Some interesting stuff:

Assuming you get 2 RCs from Luxury Suite, here are your odds in the Bonus packs per case (For the most part):
Rangers: 22.5% Chance to get regular on the first pack, you have 10 regular bonus packs, so assuming no collation, your odds of getting one minimum is around 30%. That is insane odds when you are talking about group breaks. In fact, in every case I've seen there has been AT LEAST 1 RANGER bonus card from Luxury Suite.

So, long story short, the Rangers are a great team in this. Hagelin is one of the most sought after players in this, but the Rangers as a whole are a great selection. Definitely worthing of the top team. Forget about the Nuge and the Oilers, Hagelin and his Rangers are the face of Rookie Anthology.

Couldn't agree more! I pulled a LOT of Rangers from my 6 boxes, by far the most represented team.

This is very impressive. Certainly very helpful for the people who want to get in on Team breaks and want the bet bang for their buck.

It actually wasn't too hard to do. Tivo's checklist + the Panini ones are really informative. Just some simple math... I could do some more probability and combinatorics stuff, but don't have a scientific calculator nearby It's more interesting for me actually, watching so many group breaks.

Yes, but it still takes an effort to compile and post it in a legible manner. Don't sell yourself too short now.

    Ha Ha.

    Riiiight.

Yesterday bauldie did import the checklist in the SCF card database and we do have the team set, eventually this is something I can code to retreive these numbers per release. I will try to get this in mind when I work on making team more usable in the inventory.

Also as a note. all rookie cards from Certified or other brand were entered and added to their original set and do not cary Rookie Anthology in them but if you do set the brand to Rookie Anthology it will pull them.

Say a big thanks to Panini as I was able to code a importer that in less then a hour we can have the whole release imported. Since they have the team and serial these are automatically grab by my brand release importer and we only have to set the auto, memorabilia and rookie attribute but they break down their set in like sub set so my importer make them like separate set, we set the attribute and then in the next step we change the set name so it match the master set name and this allow us to have all them merge into one set along with the base in the case of the rookie.

So once in a database, it's easy to scoll to all team in the NHL and pull the number. It only a question of have the time to write the code so it pull the number and then at the click of a button, the number would be compile. But that would only work for the recent release that we use the brand release importer. so like 2 years back. Probably not too long to code also. I would just not get the fact a player was from two team, just the fact that one card is a bruin and compiled as such.

Thankfully my 1 box got me one of my PC wants. Now i'm 1/2 way finished with this stuff. Not worth the $90 I paid sadly.
