    What exactly is a swatch?

I have cards that say that, but I am just wondering if there is a difference between just a normal piece of a jersey.

I think, by dictionary definition, a swatch is just a piece of something. However, I think that in the hobby when people say swatch they mean a "nicer" piece of a jersey/hat/etc. Maybe more than one color, with a stripe, part of a number/letter/logo, etc.

Swatch is just a piece of jersey, I believe.

Yeah, it is just a normal jersey piece, it could be special but is not necessarily meant to be.
