2005 Drew Brees 05 UD Reflections Fabric Reflections: GU card is valued at $6.00 ?? The box alone cost about $80, and a Brees GU is only worth $6.00??
I mean, i dont expect $20+, but atleast $10-12,
$6.00 friggin dollars, man the GU hobby is going DOWNHILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Reflections gu'd seem to be cheap like that. That's what all of the gu'd on the market do to the values of cards.

I agree Polus, its just absolutely nuts, a regular UD Game jersey of Brees is probably $10-12 , yet a Reflections, an enhancement of regular Upperdeck books lower??/ what the hell is that about??

That's Upper Deck for you. Well, all jersey cards in general are like that now.
And the hobby started going downhill in 2001. Nothing new.

the reason a brees in regular upper deck are higher is your odds of pulling a GU out of regular upper deck are much lower

If you pull something out of a pack that's odds are only 1 in every 5 or something its not rare no matter what the price of the box is.

It's getting like it was in the early 90's, too much of a good thing! It was nice when there was only a couple of companies producing cards, but then card companies like upper deck, pro set, pacific, as well as the other card shuckers started mass producing cards.
Now it's auto cards, 1/1 cards, jersey cards, die-cut cards, holograms, as well as other odd cards are popping up.
It was nice when there was a great base set, as well as one insert set to collect with it.

stop collecting for the value and price of cards and then maybe you'll enjoy the hobby..visiting this site has made me think about how much this hobby sucks and maybe i should quit it again, but no, i find joy in my star and rookie base cards as well as inserts and i don't give a damn what they "book" for..do the same and quit worrying so much about their values or get a life!

I usually find a set and stick with it. I used to try and collect a couple of the sets, including the inserts, but just found it was just costing too much and got more confusing as time went on. So I learned to enjoy the collecting part again, and not worry if I got the players jersey card or not, but focused on the fun part of opening packs to see what's inside. Opening packs in a box of cards, is like opening a present, the thrill is what's inside.
