Yes, I agree that sometimes the MODS are not quick to respond b/c they are busy people, but as you can see, help is readily available from many of the experienced members here.
SCF is really second-to-none, and I'm glad you decided to stick around!

If a mod pm'ed you were not blatantly ignored. What did they tell you? If someone contacted me a about a dispute I would point them in the right direction. So there would be no reason for the mod to contact you again.
Remember the mod's here volunteer their time here. We do not get paid we moderate because we enjoy the site. Also, remember that mods sometime get married, have a sick child, are on vacation, or any other reasons that life throws at you that might keep you off SCF for a while. If you look at the turnover it gets to be a chore sometimes when all members do is complain. Very rarely do you see post praising the staff for the little things they do to assist members.
As you say the community is great and anyone that spends time here will find that out.
Also, if your new you should read all the rules. We have all kind of things in place to protect people like yourself if they choose to use the services we put out there:
Here is a example of a past mod asking for members to check out and investigate about the other member your trading with:
https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=25499
SCF also offers Escrow to protect yourself:
https://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=676119
Also, if you had feedback from a site that we allow transferred feedback you could have made Kingah send first (not vice versa) as you were both MSF user's.
Here a link on that and might be something you will want to look into:

If you still are not happy with the assistant you were given by the mod's feel free to drop me a line. Just do not lay the blame at our feet as SCF as a site as we try to enlighten folks on the danger of coming to the scf as a new trader with our msf policy.

yeah i would say don't let the minority ruin it for you. there are always bad seeds in ever group of apples.
the people here for the majority are great people, very helpful, and for the most part get very closely knit once they know you.
You won't find many other places (if any) like SCF.

Hello, welcome to the site, and sorry for the bad experience. I can honestly tell you that is not the norm.
Though I am not a moderator for all sections, you are always welcome to contact me and I will personally guide you in the right direction. I am on our site at various times through out the day and will respond as soon as possible, which tend to be quickly.
Let me know if I can help.
Jay
