    what money do you spend?

I was just kinda curious what money most people spent on buying cards. I mena i understand most of us all have jobs and such but I rarely have the extra cash to spend on cards. I would love to have extra money to purchase some high end cards but its just not possible. just wondering how some manage their budget to get these kind of cards. so any tips will be nice and if there is way to make money and being a collector in this.

Well,I just do some chores for the neighbors.Im a teen,I usually mow the lawn, shovel snow or help at the local card shop(Thats something i suggest doing)he even lets me open some FREE PACKS!!!And i also get to have some fun by witessing some huge box breaks. This guys spent 1,200 bucks on cards at one time and me and the card shop owner just stood there for about and hour just staring and standing in awe watching his crazy pulls...

it really depends on what bills i have due. on the months i get an extra check or bonus i usually spend 4-5 hundred on boxes but on low months i may only buy a box or two. Also with getting married in may i dont have as much expendable cash right now but hopefully when we are settled i will have the money again

It also depends on what products are coming out... i usually like to get boxes while they are brand new before the price has a chance to spike. Also i can get my money out of the boxes before anyone else sees the product

    Hey Mitch,

    Congrats on the upcoming marriage!
But...like a lot of us already experienced.....your dollar will only be $0.50 or less after getting married! LOL They know how to spend our buck! :)

I spend about $40/month plus $ from xmas, birthdays, other holidays. I don't buy boxes so it gets me pretty far.

Oh and congratulations on the marriage, I've been married for over a year and enjoy it just as much if not more than I did before we got married, albeit we did live together for 3 years and date for 5 before taking the plunge.

Well i'm 15... Which is a good and bad thing for my card budget. Goodwise I don't have to pay for my house/apartment utilities etc... Badwise.. i'm obviously not a lawyer or M.D. who makes 200k a year. I do have a few great jobs though so I often have extra money to spend, I teach kids chess in three schools around town, that makes around $200 a month plus extra stuff I do for people adds up to me having a total "income" of about $300 a month. Some of that goes to various things I do (movies, buying people presents... etc... other hobbies...) so on average i'd say I spend around $100 a month a cards... Which I guess is pretty good.

depending on how many overtime shifts i work per month depends on what i spend i get a 100 dollar stipend if i work ot on a weekend day fri sat or sun so if i pull 4 of those a month that gives 400 to piss away on cards without ot i spend about 100 a month
