    Question

I pulled a dual jersey of Patrick Kane artifacts /125, decent card, but the back is blurred as if printed twice....does this put the value of the card down or up? (in stamps for example misprints can be very valuable)...if it puts the value down, is there anything I can do about this? Do u think they will send me a new card or something like that if I send it to them? What would you recommend to do?

Since it's numbered to 125 and not, say, 10 or 20 copies, I think that the value might increase. Many collectors even pick up multiple copies of the same memorabilia card just because the swatch on one card is green and the other is white.

With that in mind, I think you could flip that Kane for more than what a "regular" card of his from this set would go for.

Just my two cents but I believe many collectors would consider this damage and value it less. If you have the time and patience I would send it back for replacement. If you do move it just be upfront about the issue. I've seen people ask for refunds for less :)

Any blur is a Down Arrow.

Brett Hull Rookies from Topps and OPC, 1/8th of the total issue were blurred. They are lowered by 2 points when graded.

The Larry Robinson 73-74 OPC Rookie, many of those were also OOF = Out of Focus, and are worth much, much less.

Put any card that is unclear, next to a perfect one, which one would you select? The choice is obvious. As I mentioned on another thread today and in previous posts, errors are not rewarded. The last paid error on a card was the 93-93 Vladimir Konstantinov OPC Premier Rookie.

They are like Hen's Teeth to find nowadays. Unless you are certain that somebody is setting on a first shipped box that is.

Still plenty of boxes of the stuff kicking around, and idiotic Antique dealers on eBay coming into the Hockey section wanting $25.00 and up for them and for 90-91 Topps and Bowman.... Lol, of course not knowing that 90% of the cards had been corrected and also not knowing that these 3 Issues of cards are practically worthless anyway.
