sounds like it was awesome, only got to hear it via radio. I knew USC's defense could not stop Texas. Wish i had put some money on them. Great game.

It was an outstanding game, instant classic. Man, Vince Young looks awesome, he should be great in the NFL.

Whoever got the ball last was going to win that game, both defenses were inept in the second half. However, Texas managed the big 4th down stop leading to the winning TD. USC had a chance there in the final seconds but Leinart was indecisive on the final play. I would have thrown another quick screen to Bush for 8-10 yards and they would of had a good shot at a tieing field goal.

i agree completely bonds.. they needed what about 15 yards for a legit FG try.... i dont get why he was throwing a 20 yard pass on the run like that

That was a great game, no matter who won. Don't ya love it when games actually live up to the hype?

Key plays that I think lost the game for USC:
    - Bad defensive scheme on the last touchdown. Ya knew Young was going to run, and the right side of the field was wide open.
    - Going for it on 4th & 1 (when White was stopped). Yes, I know they have played that way all season. But a lot of people would have punted, simply for field position with only 2-3 minutes left in the game.
    - The Reggie Bush lateral.

I actually think Carroll made the right call going for it on 4th down, their defense was getting torched in the second half. Offense has carried USC the entire year and 2 yards would have won the game. You have to go for it in that situation, they just came up short. The call on the play is what I do question, would have ran it outside with Bush or thrown it. Texas was obviously stacking the line up the middle. I really don't think the 15-30 yards they may have gained on the punt would have made a difference but we'll never know.
