I dislike when I mention in a OBO note on Ebay, " please counter " and they decline instead. Im trying to work my way up to a reasonable price and instead of giving me a more realistic number of what they want, they just decline.

I also dislike all of the Ebay 1/1 ... SP.... Rare!!! nonesense.

It is quite funny how many SP and rare cards are out there. My favorite is a Wal-Mart blue being called rare. Yes. Wal-Mart is rare.

Okay I can see that.... I never buy to many low end singles because of the shipping fees that either buyer or seller will have to cover.

I understand the need to make money on cards, but we're talking inexpensive cards. I'm not buying Johnny Bench cards. I'm collecting sets of 80's Rangers, and when I buy a card for $1.25 and you charge me $3 to ship it and it comes in a white envelope, you've made $3.75 on a card that's worth about .50.

I know this because I ship in white envelopes with a penny sleeve, top loader, and thin cardboard. It costs me .51 to ship each card, therefore I list them with free shipping.

Yeah on my auctions I will let anyone counter at any amount and hope to come to a happy medium where both people feel happy.

A tip for the "no auto" thing.. just exclude words from your search like "-no, -non". When I search for boxes on eBay I always use exclusions to get rid of box toppers, box loaders and all of the group break listings.. exclusions like -grab -bag, -break, -live, -opening and -random usually work.

I don't mind the 1/1 in the title if it is a very unique patch or the serial number is #1 or the player's jersey number because a lot of people collect those numbers and are willing to pay premiums but it's hard to search for them without "1/1".

i have a pet peeve when you dont offer combined shipping in any of your listings then you have a guy win multiple listings and THEN ask if you combine shipping. Wouldn't you think that you would ask before you bid. I always end up giving a shipping discount, but its the principal of the matter.

My biggest is the auction with a big name player base and a low end auto. Your search is "big name player auto" and all these results pop up.

btw - how many of you sell on Ebay? I do from time to time and I can honestly say it's painful to put a lot of detail into auctions when you're listing in bulk. The scanning, sorting, digging through and getting all the years and numbers and condition etc can take some time. Most times for pennies. Even then, it's tough to please everyone. One person wants the card not to move and request tape on toploader while someone else despises it lol. I understand all the gripes, but it's no fun listing either.
