Could you imagine finding these? I'm sure at first they had no idea what they had.

Besides the money it will bring in, it'd be so amazing to own and hold a piece of history like that in your hands even just one time.

I was talking to a friend of mine today and he asked if I had seen the report about this. I said that I had and he went on to tell me that his daughter had 2 huge boxes of cards that some guy gave here as payment of a debt. Yup, you guessed it, 2 boxes of late 80's to early 90's stuff. Of course he looked them up on line and 1 1980's card sold for $400,000. He thinks she has a gold mine. I didn't have the heart to set him straight.

I can't think of a single card from the 1980s that would come close to 1/10th that, even graded a perfect 10. Maybe he saw something about how much the Honus Wagner card sold for in the '80s...

Yeah, I thought of that too. I could have misheard him maybe it was less than that he said but I know it was in the 10's of thousands at least (maybe it was $40,000 but like you said even that seems real high) He's old and his daughter is always looking for a get rich quick scheme so I just thought I'd let him play out his little fantasy.
