yeah, I am part of the problem. My wife and I pay more in taxes than most who flip burgers get paid, we both work for nonprofits, and give back everything we can. We are both educated and both back in school, we own a home, pay property taxes, and spend money on everything that is taxed, we also vote, and support our local communities.

we sent 3 kids to school who now are productive members of society (pay taxes, work, and get nothing from the government)

we are obviously part of the problem!

Here is where the contradiction exist, which you totally missed. Like it or not, the key word there is IF, because...

IF you have minimum skills, minimum education, but show considerable motivation and provide a considerable contribution to the work place, you will not be a minimum wage worker for long because someone will hire you to do a better paying job or you will be promoted.

People who consistently earn the lowest wage are almost always consistently doing the absolute minimum that they can. As someone who was a former retail manager, I can assure you that I saw it all the time.
