2012 ALLEN & GINTER Hobby Box! Big Hit!

I've always liked the Allen & Ginter hobby boxes. They seem to have great opportunity for the price. Anyway, I went to the local card shop today and picked up a box. First let me say that I think that this is the best looking year for the cards. The bordering around the relics and autos isn't exactly beautiful, but it is exponentially more appealing than the previous years with the goofy flowers or whatever they are supposed to be on them. I really like the basic black coloring. The gold design in the border could use improvement, but it is far better so I can't complain too much.

    Anyway, here are the hits:

    Drew Stubbs GU
    Marlon Byrd GU
Redemption Card for Bryce Harper Framed Mini Autograph

Personally, I think Harper is way over rated, but only time in the majors will tell. However, I'm not going to complain since I just got a card for a signature from his rookie year. It'll bring a nice chunk of change whenever it is I sell it.

I'm with you. Turned on the All-Star game just in time to see him bewildered by lights. Nice pull though!

Nice Harper. I'm with you, I don't "get it" when it comes to all the hype. He's pretty good for a rookie, but injuries, stupid decisions off the field, not being able to handle the pressure, etc. can cause issues for folks.

I think the real value is the minis, thought, and you get a hit in every pack with those! If you want to move any of your minis, shoot me a PM!

I'm with you on the Harper hype. If I ever pulled a nice Harper worth selling, that's exactly what I'd do with it, ASAP. His cards are priced at a premium right now and it's unlikely, at least to me, that he'll be a major star for years to come. Too many variables to say he'll make it big.

True, and I didn't mean to be insulting. I lose my car keys about twice a day, without lights in my eyes.
