    Postage help with Canada vs USA

    Trying to figure out what stamps I need.

    Does anyone have a good idea of the difference in postage for the
    same plain white envelope letter being sent from US -- > Canada and the other way around?

    You have to get Canadian postage. Their Canada to US stamps are something like 1.05 canadian currency. You can try to buy them off of ebay, or maybe find a canadian user on here that will deal you for some. As for Stamps to send to Canada, I think they are 75 cents now.
