Which would be a better move?

Assuming all cards near mint, Topps Chrome Ref Rc's of Lebron and Durant both for $340 or Topps Chrome Rc of Kobe for $250 ?????????????
Any help would be appreciated. I guess I should mention that I collect cards for keeps, and not for resale or to have graded. I hope that someday, I may leave a nice collection for my son to expand on.

    Thanks,
    Denny

the Kobe would be a better choice imo. 96-97 Chrome has always been an extremely popular set, and packs/boxes are next to impossible to find these days. You could still find 03-04 products with relative ease, just a bit pricey.

I'd go with the Kobe too.

Id go with the Kobe. $250 for a Mint Kobe (centering is good etc) would be a fair price.

Ouch! I was already up against the clock on this one when I posted this thread, and unfortunately had to make a decision before I could get a chance to view your replies. Sorry guys! For some reason, I had predetermined that everyone would probably say the James and Durant Ref Rc's would be the better choice, so when the seller contacted me and agreed to accept my first offer of 320, I made the purchase. Its going to be awhile before I have that kind of cheese to spend again, but in the future, I will make sure not to wait till the last minute to post my question!!!!!!!
