The Nationals-Baltimore
Hey all:
So it seems I am going to be heading to the Nationals in Baltimore weekend after next. Just had a few questions for you all:
1. Are any of you all going? If you are do you plan on taking traders or do you just go to buy?
2. What suggestions do you have if you have gone to this show or a large one before? I have never been to anything other than a small like 25 dealer show so this I know is going to be huge in comparison.
3. Since there is so much internet trading and selling now, is there a way that people let other knows who they are? Like should I wear a nametag that has FFEMT840 on it or something so that people I have traded with before can recognize me?
4. Finally, the main reason for going is because my father in law made a great find recently when a family member had to be put in a nursing home. It is approximately 75 old tobacco cards that include stars like Tris Speaker and Cy Young. Our intent is to get these or some of these cards graded. I know that there are the three main graders being BGS (or BVG in this case), PSA, and SGC. Which one would you suggest for us to get these graded by that would be the most respected and would assist the most in making these even more able to sell? Purpose of getting them graded is for authentication and selling purposes.
So thanks for the information and if you are going please let me know as I would love to meet more of the SCF family!!!
Thanks,
Dave

1. I'll be there Wednesday-Friday. I will be there mainly to represent the site. However, I know many will bring items to trade and sell as well as go to buy.
2. Biggest key is not to become overwhelmed as soon as you enter the show floor. Have an idea before entering of what you want to accomplish while there. Walk around and scout out dealers you want to check out as you are on a limited schedule and cannot visit everyone.
3. Best thing to do is visit Don's booth and introduce yourself. If it is like most years, the SCF booth or booths always seem to be the landing point for the members.
4. PSA for vintage.
Anything else, just text or call me... :)
