Updated Premium and VIP Membersips

Recently we removed about 75% of our user groups to help optimize the forums. With that we had to change our approach on how to set up user groups and how badges are displayed. We had to remove the option for members to use their custom user title. Unfortunately that was the only way to get done what we were looking to accomplish and have to remove that perk from the VIP program. The bolded perks below were either adjusted or are new to the program!

Basic Membership- FREE (standard membership when you sign up)

PM Space: 150
Signature: 300 x 100 (45k Size)
650 Characters in signature
Gallery images: 20
Avatar: 80 x 80
Can Create Slide Shows in gallery: No
Can Create Albums in gallery: No

Premium Membership – $12 a Year (Sign me up!) This membership costs $12 a year ($1 a month!).

Just finish cofiguring each events, so pay off should start occuring as of now. I still have to tweek the configuration maybe so it might be done late night daily or only when you actually hit you CC transaction page. I still have some reading to do so I can be sure this is not paying everytime someone post as I don't want to tax the server with additional task on peek time.

You can view your transaction by clicking the top CC balance link on the top right of every forum page and even in the Storefront/inventory/trade manager section too!

Sweet! I just became a VIP (before reading this update).

What was the custom user title?

We still need to update the perk page for premium and vip perk. Mainly we had to remove the usage of custom title and this is why the GM decided to add other perk to compensate.

Mainly because this forum is so big and as so many active member, we need to be creative in how we manage it so it remain fast for all members. One of the thing we deicded to do is to delete many usergroup and these are costly in server ressources and we were using them to add badge for staff ttitle and awards. But usergroup are made for forum permissiona and not for title and bagde.

Since VBulletin as only badge that work with usergroup, the staff kept adding them to create staff title and badge of to create the super collector program and various award like trader of the months etc..

By this was becoming heavy on the server. so in order to dramaticaly reduce to usergroup to improve server performance. I had the idea to code a aplication that would use the custom user title to use it to place badge and not have to use usergroup to do so.

But this also meant we could not leave member have access to the user title that once was a perk for premium and VIP, so now since we remove this perk to use it to dsiplay badge that member does enjoy a lot, we decided to add something else to compensate this lost for those contrinuting to paying for this server via the premium and VIP contribution. So this is why we are changing some of the perks.
