Funniest Cop Out Stories over trading

Ya know, i was just thinking, I have been trading on the net for 10+ yrs plus now, and sometimes (we all know) some trades just dont happen after u THINK they are going to::

I was just curious what some of the funniest cop outs u have ever come across were??

For example : My funniest experience ever was:

I had a 1of1 Printing Plate of Jake Plummer and there was a guy on another card trading forum who collected Plummer and he said this afte I ask him if he was interested

    AND I QUOTE:::

    "Thanx man, allready have it"

Laughed my balls off, just wanted to share

Actually Anthony, there are 4; Black, Blue, Yellow, Magenta....

And since there is only one of each color, they are 1/1... The goal of many many collectors is to collect plates... I tried to get all the Angel Berroa plates from 05 Diamond Kings... But the asking price was a little high for my liking.. If they go back on Ebay I might just buy them... But...

Anyways.. My best cop out ever heard from another board:

    Guy put this FT/FS:

FS/FT: Angel Berroa 04 Leaf Certified Cuts GU Patch/AU 1/1--- $50 or $75 in trade.

I offered him the following since he collected the players:
    05 DK Update Whitey Ford Dual GU/AU /25 BV$50
03 UD Yankees Whitey Ford AU BV$30

Anyways, he shots down that offer, so I then added:

    04 Tiki Barber Absolute Dual GU/ AU /75 BV$40

    This was his reply:

No, sorry, that just isn't enough, even though I asked for $75 in trade, I can't part with a 1/1 for that cheap...

Now, I know most won't care about Berroa, but I collect him (Over 400+ Base, AU, GU)... I said alright, and just blew it off... Was kinda pissed, but really none of my business, it is his card..

He then sends me an email with a link to his ebay auction for the card..
I end up being the high bidder...For....
    $43.40 DLVD...

I'd say the cop out made him lose.

Seablazer, there is more than one factory that produces cards, therefore, there is more than 1 printing plate of that color. SOMETIMES more than one of the color is sent out. I have seen it before.

they may send more than one color if its front and back, never seen multiple colors of the same color from any set in the last like 3 years.

    The same what Braves said...

Usually you'll find two of the same player, but fronts and backs.... Legally, any company that puts 1/1 on a card/plate, whatever it is and lies is selling a product that is falsely advertised...

Trust me on this, Topps Total caused many headaches because you'd find on ebay: Frank Thomas Printing Plate Black 1/1, and Frank Thomas 1/1 Black Total Print Plate... IDK about Topps and Upper Deck, but DLP only has one set of plates for each player for each set, for each parallel, etc. Even if there are more plates, they can only LEGALLY put one on the market with a 1/1....
