PSA Card damage due to shaking
Hi, I'm fairly new to collecting and I just bought a few PSA graded cards. I noticed that a few of them have damage to the edges which appear to be caused by the constant shaking the PSA holder allows. Are PSA holders known to cause this kind of damage? Do BGS cards suffer the same problem?

Do SGC and BGS holders allow shaking?

In my expierience SGC does not at all, I really feel safe with my cards in them. I'm not so sure about shaking but in my expierience all fo BGS service has been rather crappy (overgrading cards, undergrading cards, labeling wrong, recieveing cracked holders, etc..)

Thanks. I had read that article before, but I'd have to disagree with it. The edge damage to the side of the card is pretty clearly made by the case. The nicks on the side of the card match up perfectly with the shape and size of the bar on the side of the PSA holder. I guess I'll have to give BGS a shot. :\

Given your concerns.... I'd use SGC.
Especially If they are for your collection...custom fit inserts, very nice look, and gaining ground within the hobby for grading correctness/fairness.

On the bright side, though, a sales clerk at GNC was unable to puncture the Palmeiro slab with an injection of Vitamin B12.
It seems like SGC is the choice.
