    Mini Helmet question.

Just bought a Riddell Red Bills mini helmet for a Thurman Thomas auto session. What is the best item to use for mini helmets. any advice? Last time I tried for a mini auto was at the HOF game with the Titans, and my Craig Hentrich auto looks...well not that great.

I would use a silver Deco Color or Sharpie paint pen. If you use a paint pen make sure it's prepped well by shaking it. I've have had problems with players not pressing down enough but that has happened mainly at training camp and not a signing. If you want to be safe a silver Sharpie works well too with a red and blue background. Depending on how long a players signature is dictates what size Sharpie or paint pen I use. You will probably want to get a HOF inscription which also adds to the space needed. Have fun.

I'd go with a SRX or Elementz silver metallic marker. That way you don't have to worry about prepping it like you would a paint pen and risking a chance if the paint don't flow properly or if it over-flows, ruining your item.

SRX was a brand of metallic markers, now known as Infinity. Unfortunately, they are only sold in 8 marker packs and could be found at any Target retail stores for about $5 a pack.

The other alternative to SRX would be Elementz metallic markers, which could be found at any Walmart retail stores and would only run you 94 cents for a 2 marker pack. I've been using silver Elementz metallic markers recently and are more than pleased with the results.

With my first post I was thinking silver with the red background and I thought the graph might run into the blue buffalo. I do not have any Bills mini's. Looking at mini's signed on ebay the white looks awesome. I'll send you a link to compare markers on mini's on ebay along with a link for a thick silver one. I don't like the thick silver.

That's a sweet helmet. Do those markers come in different sizes? Thanks in advance...Rick
