Liberterianism gets confused with anarchy. Liberterianism wants limited Federal government, and that governed by the Constitution. The States get the right to choose how it's citizenry is governed, and that gives the people the option to move to the State that is closest to their belief system.
Schools should only be funded by the States, the Federal Government has absolutely ruined the school system. The only country that spends more per student is Switzerland, and yet American students are some of the dumbest in the 1st World. The National Teachers Association should be totally eliminated, as well as many other unConstitutional Federal Departments. And by the way, "No Child Left Behind" is an absolute joke! It dumbs all students down to the lowest common denominator, but that is the goal so that the citizenry is left uneducated, thereby allowing the Federal Government to institute all sorts of tyranny on the citizenry, and call it "inspiring" names like, "the Affordable Care Act", which will be anything but.
These are the jobs for the States.
The IRS is unconstitutional, as well as the Federal Reserve System. There is nothing to replace the IRS with, because the Federal Government is SUPPOSED to raise it's taxes from the States. It's the State's responsibility to figure out how to raise the tax to send to Washington. The IRS is an illegal theft racket, they illegally write laws(which is the job of the Legislature), and you have almost no recourse against them. The "Federal Income Tax" is a lie, because only a corporation can have income, and that is Revenue Minus Expenses. A head tax is unconstitutional, and the IRS constantly breaks laws such as, sending threats through the mail system(illegal), and many other tactics that are illegal.
The slaughtering of innocent lives may not mean much to you, but I can assure you it means a great deal to the Creator who Created those lives. I will give it to you that these social issues are brought up at unnecessary times to derail debate on other issues, but they do make quite a difference.
It is not the Federal Governments job to build roads and bridges. Politicians use this to give the citizenry the illusion of "job creation", and as a "throwing a bone" to the unions to buy votes.
It is the job of the States to build their own roads, and each State has the right to figure that out.
The Federal Government uses the "Interstate Commerce" clause as a power grab to take every right possible from the States. Now people will claim that of all these states have different types of roads, they won't allow free and easy travel. Something which the Interstate System has allowed. It would then be the Federal Government's responsibility to create the guidelines on how these types of roads could be built between the states, but the Federal Government has usurped it's given powers in these matters.
My examples:
The Bridge to Nowhere in Alaska
California high speed rail - that no one will use
Other high speed rail projects nationwide that are "pet projects" of Politicians to help "create jobs" in their states, returning money stolen from citizens of other states to fund projects in their state. This is communism/socialism/whatever you want to call it.
The President's job is to enforce the laws the Legislation writes, or veto those laws, and to act as the diplomatic head of state worldwide. That is all.
If Big Business is supposed to be kept from being too big, then why do politicians protect and fund them with your tax dollars because they are "too big to fail"?
The Federal Governments powers are very limited and specific, and everything else is supposed to be the job of the States. However, the Federal Government has stolen these powers by the "Interstate Commerce" clause, which has been interpreted to allow the Federal Government the power to do basically anything it wants.
