Some people that know nothing about Hockey, find a box of cards sitting around, and transport themselves to almost 2 centuries ago to either the Yukon or California Gold Rush.

The amount of antique dealers on eBay that are selling shoe-boxes full of 1990-91 Score Canadian Commons thinking they have hit the motherlode is positively frightening.

Most of it is just plain ignorance.

People are stupid for listing stuff like this but nobody should be stupid enough to actually pay $450 for that card. More like a dime to a quarter maximum!

Centrehice..I agree and on kijiji u see a lot thinking the same way..I always email them a bv of the card and of one graded (if I can find it on Beckett) again better to inform them in a nice way rather than keep them in the dark
Mats..sad thing is some people do pay a high price thinking it is worth it..blind leading the blind I think

The ones that concern me aren't the people who don't collect, it's the ones that are hobbyists and still have their heads in the sand when it comes to reality.

I don't think it falls to us to tell random people on kijiji that they wouldn't be able to sell those cards for $5.00 a pound, let alone $450.

RGM81 good point...There was another person selling a Sundin MINT RC for $200 and wanted to use the money for moving costs again had to point out the price (Graded and Not ) to them
