Some pretty awful things to say. By the way, this is being reported other places than The Blaze.

I would like to see what mainstream news groups have to say about this story. If it is true it is very sad indeed that someone can think so lowely of another human life.

I don't see this as much of a story. Sounds like a racist doctor justifying why he is okay with performing abortions. It's not like he is out recruiting and counselling women to have abortions. Disturbing yes, but not really a reflection on the reality of abortion.

To a certain degree, and other than the "ugly black baby" remark, he's kind of telling it like it is in the harshest possible way. We've already had a couple people here say they would adopt a child, of any colour, if they had the means. I want to know what the people who do have the means would do, and if they would do the same, why haven't they already.

To be honest, I don't put much stock in anyone's answer to that question on a messageboard. Finances is an excuse that will be replaced with "we are too old to adopt" later on. Adopting a child is a BIG decision for a family to make (my sister is adopted). Growing up, my parents had 20-30 foster kids in our home. Some stayed for as little as 1 night, others stayed several years. Trust me, stretching a dollar in your home is better than the alternative for many of these kids.
I always thought I would follow in my parents' footsteps growing up. They made it look easy. Now I realize the commitment of time and energy it takes to raise children. My two children got that commitment and their children will be given that commitment too, but I cannot bring myself to voluntarily commit to more, although I know I would if the situation landed on my door unexpectantly.

Habs, I don't either, but I'm not going to say they're lying either. I'll take them at their word and I assume most people are in no financial decision to adopt. One could say if you wait until you're financially ready, you'll never do it. But I have to look at someone like Romney (just as an example). He is wealthy beyond belief. He is against abortion. Would he ever adopt a little black baby? If not, why? If so, why hasn't he already.
A lot of people need to put their money where there mouth is. I'm sure I'll always get the same answer to the question, messageboard or not. I just hope by asking I can get some people to see that side of things, because a lot of people who are dead set against the right to choose have never even come close to seeing the eventualities of birthing children who are unwanted.
