    cards on paper

I tried a search on this site, but didn't find anything.
Just found an old scrap book with lots of hockey stuff in it. \
In the back and stuck to the pages are about 25 hockey cards from around 58 - 62. After looking around I think I have a Bobby Hull rookie card plus a couple of other rookie cards from other players. As a stamp collector I know I can remove paper from stamps by soaking them in warm water, I don't want to do this to cards, I am sure it won't be good for them. Is there a safe way to remove paper from the back of cards?
    Thanks

i wouldn't do it that way, water can really damage cards, especially vintage. I don't know how you'd go about doing that, but when you do, I'd really like a scan of the Hull.

you can try using an iron. It should help soften any glue if it was used. Maybe even the steam from the iron may help. I would try the steam first. It seems to work good for removing stamps from envelopes. If that doesn`t work, then try using the iron on a somewhat low temp. Put the card inside a T-shirt and try that first. You can also try using the microwave. It will definitely heat the glue up and not the cardboard. Let us know if you do it and how.

if the cards you have are expensive, let a pro do it.
if you do it yourself, you'll lower the grade of the card definitely.

Yes, that 58/59 Topps Bobby Hull rookie card is very desirable, even if the back is less than perfect. The front looks great! Those cards with white backgrounds, along with the action cards, are from the 58/59 Parkhurst set. Looks like poor Maurice Richard met a horrible fate when he was booted from the album!!!
