how does ud choose their checklists?

how can ud release ultimate with 89 rookies and not include paul postma?
i mean i hate to sound bias, but really, how is postma not in this product?

so that this thread isnt useless, name a player from your team who is somewhat signifigant, that wasnt included in 12 ultimate

UD has decided to omit some rookies who do not sign their stuff back on time.

So basically, they have either taken them out entirely or they may insert them back in next year.

UD has announced that they will be this for all future products.

Unless you are a big rookie, you will be omitted if you don't sign.

Ben scrivins is not in it at all either. He's never has any redemptions (except score) so I dont know if he has a signing problem.

For their Sign of the Times, they scan all teams' depth charts to find such stars as Eric Tangradi, Bobby Sanguinetti, Jamie McBain, Jack Skille and Perttu Lindgren. They then have each of those players sign one million autographs each, while having first-line players sign a fraction of that so that you're sure to not get your money's worth when purchasing boxes/cases.

Really, I think they've done a lousy job with rookies in some products. No Postma in Ultimate Collection, and I believe Lack is also overlooked in the same product. I've been buying some Lack and Anders Nilsson rookies, and UD has yet to have an autographed card from either to this point while Panini has featured both, with autos, in multiple products. Not trying to turn this into an Upper Deck vs. Panini argument, but UD to this point has not impressed. Ultimate is a nice-looking product this year, but there are some holes.

Same with Simon Despres of all the pens rookies they dont include the top one. I was looking forward to picking up a lot of his cards from ultimate. He never had a redemption either. The more UD makes products the more I like panini.

I was stunned to see my boy Derek Whitmore in it, so happy he is because they are gorgeous. I was STUNNED that Yann Sauve was not included, he has been in every product of the year so far...I guess that's good for me, no shield hahaha.

I have no clue why UD wouldn't include Scrivens in Ultimate. Also since many rookies are not signed at all what does the rookie not signing have to do with anything? Just release a rookie that is not signed of those players.
