Karl Malone Auto for mearly 1990s-Real?

Got this Auto back in the early 1990s when I wrote a long letter to my favorite player, Karl Malone. In around a month or so I received this back in the mail. It is either a great, detailed real auto...or a fake that someone close to Malone sent me to make me feel good! I am attaching a picture. Please give me your honest opinion....It looks similar, but more detailed then most certified Autos I have seen for Malone. Thanks!

Also attaching a Charlie Ward auto. I got back in the 1990s. I found one of the same on Ebay....I am thinking hopefully they are both real. I may get this one certified with PSA...not thinking about selling though, so I am debating if it is worth it to get certified or not!

i remember writing The Mail Man back in 1991 also. he sent my 1990 hoops card back signed. looks exactly like his certified auto so im saying its legit. yours looks pretty much the same. one day i will send it in to BGS or PSA/DNA. its only a signed 1990 hoops card, if it was his rookie card i wouldve sent it long ago.
