05-06 Beehive Question
Can anybody list the order of Parallels for this 2005-06 Beehive Issue. I am finding it a bit confusing, as there appears to be 4 or more different photos. Is this correct?
I have this Yzerman #31 - Is this a Beige Parallel, or a Facsimile Parallel? Where does it fit in the parallel family from lowest to highest.
Any help to sort out the confusion, as I don't have a Beckett On-Line Membership to help me.
Cheers!
Tim

Hi Jim:
Thanks for the info. I was not certain the name or where it fits, but it appears that it is the highest coloured parallel without serial number.

base, red, blue

beige, yellow (aka beehive back), matte (xx/25). The beehive back is harder to find than the matte parallel, though it is un-numbered.

Now I am really confused.
I understood the 05-06 Base Card to be red, but a darker red colour. Here is my Yzerman 05-06 Beehive Base #31. This is not the Red Parallel. The Yzerman Red Parallel has only the head and shoulders shot of Yzerman and the red border on the parallel is brighter.
Are the Rookie cards on a different parallel system perhaps?

I got confused with Sigalet being a rookie and then being in yellow. I just assumed that the Beehive Yellow were always parallels.
Thanks.

I have heard the Yellow (beehive back) described as a Gold Parallel. Not sure if that is accurate or not.
A quick way to tell the red, blue, beige parallels from team colored base cards is that the frame around the picture changes along with the color of the players name.
Base card: Team color border, silver frame, player name in black letters
Parallels: Red, blue or beige border, tan frame, player name in white lettersLast edited by Drewk86a; 08-15-2012 at 03:05 AM.

Keep in mind, all the base rookie cards were colored in yellow. The "vet" cards all had different base colors, these had wood grains in the color border. The parallel versions, had no wood grains just solid colors. Also the vets Matte cards were numbered to 100, the rookies were to 25. I also believe that the gold version was skip numbered, meaning not everyone had one. To be honest I have never seen a Lemieux, not saying it might not be out there but I have not seen one yet. This is part of the fun of the hobby, trying to figure out what in the heck they did or did not make...
