    I'm confused

Sorry that I need to ask this question, where do I go to search a player and find out every card that has been produced for that searched player? I am wanting to search Mark Scheifele as I'm going to start picking up all his lower end inserts and rookies and wanted to use this service on SCF.

Try http://www.beckett.com/. You'll need to buy a subscription to see book value of the cards but the list is free.

You can use the inventory manager here on SCF, or Beckett.

I personally like the SCF one, as it has fewer errors and omissions than Beckett. There generally tend to be more uploaded photos, too, which is nice for identifying certain cards.

Thanks Craig, ya I aim to use the one here on SCF, it took me a little while to figure out but I got it and was able to add all my Scheifele cards. Now how do I delete cards from my inventory?

That is too funny, I just had the same issue with some Lemieux cards that are missing. Anyone know?

The inventory manager on here does not have all the cards listed, neither does Beckett.

If all else fails and you are looking for a specific player's cards and they are older, try this.

    http://www.hockeydb.com.

Enter the player's name, then click on their cards. I have actually found rare regional cards of players that Beckett does not have listed anywhere

In the My Inventory tab on the right column you have in the menu list :
    Player indexing (Search)

In there you can search for any player and if you collect them I suggest you add it as a fast PC link using the link add to PC. What this does is add your name in the player rolodex and also give you a fast link to stats and checklist in the My Inventory fast PC link section on the right menu. Normaly doing a text search would take in hockey like more then ten seconds trying to find a full list and since some name may be written like c.price or on multi player damprhouse/price/halak. doing a search on Varey Price would not even pull these. This is why we index players. While not perfect often when you ask about certain players, at time we can fix them so they be included in the index We can't garentee we can add 100% of all cards from a given player as we have issue for when player have similar or the same name but we always try to help as much as we can to index them. Then it take 1/3 of a second to access a player full checklist and if the index work well like it does for most player then it come in really handy to have the PC fast link set. It also give you your stats on what you have for this player and let you manage a want list for all the cards you do not have from that player and it's easy to update the want list with a simple visit on the player stats page and when you synchronise the want list it will remove any card you added and add any new cards we added latly.

Now to delete card in each column of action you have a red X icon to delete the card or you can use the check box on the right to select multiple cards to delete and when done selecting the card there is a action combobox where you can select delete all selected cards. This can be done on the My Inevntory card only. Also setting the quantity to zero when editing a card is the equilalent of deleting a inventory entry as well. Want list items work diffrently as it's independant from having a card or not.

This forum is more for general question but you will see sub forum listing in this forum and you need to select the hockey subforum to post any request in there. Also a other member mention hockeydb. While it's true they may list more cards the format is not very helpfull compare to what our inventory can do. But yes you can find cards there not listing here. But the best way to go is to request for them to bee added into our database and this is how we can make it more complete in time. Then you can enjoy all the feature and stats if you use the inventory and while they list more cards, you can't filter them by cards attribute or things like that, that we can do here. So always better to help us get a more complete list here as while I love what they do at hockeydb and I do use it as a reference, I do not find it practical for my player collecting need I have. SO I do think it better to request cards missing. But also try to see if maybe the card is there first as maybe it's just not being included into the player indexing we have. So at time using the cadset search to find the set and the card number will proove to you that the card is there but probably not written the same way our player list in the player database we have and why it not included into the index of this player. But again making request for missing card in the index is something often we can fix. In certain case it will not work but I want to code a tools that will let us add cards manually to the index next year so we can finally index all player. But due to similar names like in football you often have name that are the exact same name and we can't do much if manufacturer release cards with the exact name on both player. Like in hockey one player is always in check list with the team name to make the difference. When manaufacturer do this then it's possible to add that string to a index routine so they get added to the right index.

I'd honestly challenge anyone to find a more complete index of cards than what we have here. Sure, some may have some we don't have yet, but as a whole, from show cards to regular releases, scf's inventory is the most complete imo.
