how do you know by looking at the cards if the card is a 2012 Topps Variation? I have a green border 1957 variation RC of somebody, but I see a lot of the base and RC's have different poses or the rabbits foot on luck in that case....otherwise, how do you know you have one? I have a bunch of 2012 Topps I can sort through for you

You can google "2012 Topps Football Variations" and find several websites that show photos of the base versions and the variations. There is one other sure-fire method. On the back of every 2012 Topps base card, there is a www.topps.com code # (on the very bottom of the card). All of the regular base cards have code #3591201, whereas all of the variations have code #3591229 or #3591230. I hope this helps.
