Woo hoo! First BGS Submission! And an extra surprise!

Pretty happy overall though there's a couple of unexpected grades in there.

First up, the 10 was a gift from the person who I submitted with. Considering I didn't have a 10 until now, I am floored, speechless, don't now how to express my thanks to you (you know who you are). I owe you a beer if we're ever near each other.

In the top pic, the 96 Select Certified Premium Stock and 95 SP Holoview Die Cuts are the ONLY graded 9.5 examples, so I'm VERY happy with those, especially the Holoview.

In the bottom pic, I'm absolutely mystified at the two 8.5's. The SP Authentic Stat Jersey I can accept because I blatantly missed a crinkle coming off the bottom left corner of the jersey swatch opening. My bad. Corners look great though, so I don't get it. The 2002 Fleer Focus JE card, that's numbered 122/122, and I'm mystified at how it got an 8.5 for corners and surface. Like seriously baffled by how it ended up with those grades because under magnification they look just as good if not better than a couple of the 9.5 corners.

The 95 Select Certified Gold Team was a resub and came back with the exact same grades, and a new folded over top left corner that's now showing white. I've even got before pics that can prove it. Lovely.

All in all, an unexpected gift 10, and 4 of 7 coming back as 9.5's. Not a bad way to add to my collection. The mirror gold I already had one of (with better grades, 10,9.5,9.5,9) but the one I already had needs a registry release, so this new one goes into the registry and the old Mirror Gold and all the silver are going up for sale if anyone's interested (going on ebay asap, contact me if you want one of them).

Again, to you know who you are, that's about the most awesome surprise I've gotten in a long time. I owe ya one!

Some nice grades!!! I have always been partial to the graded stuff. That 10 is awesome!!! I had one of the rarest Emmitt cards graded a 10 and sold it during some rough times a few years back. Definitely regretting it!!! I'll never find one like it again! You definitely have one of the largest (if not the largest) Emmitt graded collections. CONGRATS!!!

I can't wait to get back to the States and display so of mine. I am building a case, although it is very simple and not as nice as yours. It will serve its purpose!! Going to wait and stain it when I get back later this summer. I also have several more cards I want to send in for submission and will be doing that when I get back as well.

Again, super nice adds to your PC!!!

Thanks man! I'm still completely baffled by the grade the Fleer Focus got, and a bummed that the Gold Team didn't get the bump and moreso irritated it's damaged now, but whatcha gonna do?

According to Beckett's registry, I have the 2nd largest collection of Graded Emmitt Cards. The one guy ahead of me is showing 231 cards to my 136 (137 actually, one isn't able to be entered into registry due to errors). But his collection has 61 8.5's or 9's, so apples to apples he's up on me 170 to 137. But he's also got 13 10's in that set too. I'm trying to catch up!!!!!!

I would also argue that the person ahead of you probably doesn't have some of the nicer cards that you have (autos/jersey/refractors/etc...). Don't know because I haven't looked at the ranking lately but I would bet your collection contains higher end stuff when compared to his???

I think I've got him in terms of really high end stuff, because I've got two Jersey/Auto's numbered 1 of 10 and 10 of 10, another Auto numbered 22 of 22, and I have a new pickup coming that was a freaking STEAL on ebay, an 08 Topps Letterman Patches Autographs Refractor, card is numbered 1 of 4 and is a 9.5/10 auto. Only paid $214 for it and couldn't believe it. I've got another couple that are # of 25, # of 49, and higher. But he's got a TON of memoribilia cards and I've got primarily 90's stuff. He's got my holy grails though, the 88 BK card and the 89 Smokey card in 9.5's also (I missed out on an 89 Smokey in October and was PISSED about it, I simply underbid). I'd love to talk to the guy sometime because he really has an impressive collection.

Very nice graded collection additions! Those two select cards are beauts!

I have a couple small adds for 2 of my Cowboys sets that I am working on.

From 1996 Collector's Edge Footballbilia Cowboys Auto set

    1129

For the 2007-2011 Certified FOTG NFL Die Cut Prime Cowboys Team set I am adding this non prime version /50 of Tom Landry since the Landry Prime version is a 1/1 which I am sure I will never see.

I saw that Topps Letterman on Ebay and was curious what it went for. I have all letters but the "M". I found one guy that had it but he wanted too much. What you paid is a good deal considering the grade. I think I paid $175 for my S but it wasn't graded.
