I do shows here in Calgary. I've learned a few things along the way:
1) Price your cards ..... nothing more annoying than having to ask how much for every card.
2) 25 cent bins/ binders are great... I usually put all cards with a BV of $1.50 or less in there and usually am constantly restocking.
3) Don't be afraid to negotiate...especially on volume purchases.
4) Have freebies for kids...parents love it and tend to buy from you after their chile receives something for free. I use beehive jumbos for this.

The following are keys to being successful at card shows as a dealer.
Basically dealers are either card show, internet or LCS types or a blend of the three. Recognize this and develop appropriate strategies.
Some items are more profitable selling at a show while others are more profitable selling on line or in store. Adjust your inventory accordingly as well as your strategy.
Build relationships with other dealers that are hours away from your base. It is possible to move each others old merchandise in your store simply because it looks fresh in a new location.
Be ready to buy as well as sell. work with the show and online forums to let potential customers know that you will be at a show. Customers are not clairovoyant so if you are not a regular dealer at a show or are a newbie they are not looking for you or your items.
Have essentials with you. Change, bags, etc. Price your items. Be organized.
