Need help with this collectable

I recently stumbled across this the other day:



Would anyone have the first clue where I would be able to find this or if it was probably a custom made figurine?

Starting Lineups ended over a decade ago. My guess is that's a custom. Looks nice though

That's weird to see something that had it's last season in 2000. I wonder if somebody bought the rights from Kenner and had it made.

Kenner doesn't have the rights for the NHL anymore so they couldn't use the Oilers logo on the package. I went from guessing it's a custom to being sure it's a custom overnight haha

Although you would think that for all the time spent making an Alex Plante figure he would at least have him shoot the right way....

I figured just as much. I did a little more research and it turns out someone created this and presented it to several players who were drafted that year from Brandon.
