Removing a sharpied autograph from a ROMLB?

I have a ball that is side paneled so bad and signed in sharpie to make it worse. Does anybody have any past experiences with this? I really want to get the ball signed by someone else. Thanks

i've heard of people using very fine sand paper for pen on balls. i have a feeling sharpie will be a lot harder, the marker ink probably soaks into the pourous leather more than pen ink.

Easiest way to get a perfect ball......sell it for $12 and buy a new ball! I don't think it is worth ruining a ball trying to remove sharpie
