Quality or Quantity
What do you prefer in your collection? A bunch of cards of whatever you collect or fewer cards but those cards are more expensive. As for me personally I collect because I enjoy cards I prefer quantity. When I was a child I my goal was to collect one of every card produced but as an adult I realized that is an unrealistic goal not to mention I would have no where to store all those cards I have narrowed my pc down to any and all rookies, autographs as well as anything from kobe, lebron, jordan, oj simpson and walter payton. I know that it is also impossible to collect every card ever made of my intrests but it is fun to try. Also since cost is a consideration I usually don't buy anything really expensive unless it is a deal that I cannot pass up and I mainly stick to buying inexpensive singles and making a lot of trades. How do you handle your PC?

Really depends on the card type. I really only need one on card autograph per Hall of Famer. I mean I would take more but I don't see the point in spending funds on multiples when there are so many to go after.

Quantity for me which isn't the norm for collectors who aren't children nowadays. I do it more as a fan of hockey than for cards. I don't make $ selling cards so I want a bunch of different types to look at. So usually I stick to base cards or aesthetically pleasing ones. I actually have a dislike for autos/patches which don't have stats on the back and just say "congrats you've received blah blah."
I do appreciate the high end cards and would buy a few bases from Prime or Cup or some high end product if I get the card for $5 or so but pretty much the whole collection is 10 cent - $1 base cards.

Well for my main player PC (Sergei Bobrovsky) I guess would have to say quantity as I'm trying to super collect him and go after everything.
Aside from the Bobrovsky PC then I would almost always chose Quality over Quantity, I'll spend more and take a HOF auto /25 rather than a lot of $3-4 Rookies and Game Used that I'll look at once and put in a box.

Both as I collect everything NE Patriots from 1960-present, base on up. Totally unrealistic goal to get everything but it keeps it fun. On the side I like to out together vintage football sets. My last one I did 1962 Topps, right now I am doing 1958.

I just picked up this card collecting hobby a few months ago and right now I'm undecided, I enjoy collecting cards of my favorite baseball and football players and at the same time I also enjoy pulling cards fresh out of a pack, that split second when you pull the cards hoping you land something good never gets old to me. I also enjoy building sets, keeping a list of all the cards I need to complete a set, and then crossing the numbers out as I acquire the new cards via a new hobby pack, a trade, or eBay. Speaking of eBay, someone in this message board posted a comparison of eBay to the show storage wars, well I'm constantly browsing through eBay looking for good deals, I also love bidding on cards I want.
So I guess my answer is a little bit of both, I just love everything involved with this hobby!
