    what to buy.

Due to the lockout the card companies will have no new RCs to insert. My question is should I still buy this years packs/boxes, if they even release any or should I buy older boxes/packs, and if so what year and brand.

I'm gonna have a hard time spending money on 12-13 product if the lockout goes too long. I've busted alot of 10-11 UD1 retail and have a few Eberle's and Hall's in my collection.

Not entirely true the companies still have some RC's to insert, the players who came into the league at the end of the season or playoffs like Krieder (spelled wrong probably).

I do know that either way I won't be buying any...ANY 12-13 products and will be going back to 10-11 and earlier. Thinking of doing a case of 01-02 Titanium.

It depends on what you're interested in.

If you want RCs.... this year's should be slightly better than 04-05s. I guess that would me "do not buy".

If you're after GU / Autos...... and especially of retired players..... a long lockout means that 12-13 products will be even more to your liking than normal (my bet)

Exactly, we can finally get rid of all those 100 no-name rookies, let's face it, pulling a big rookiename normally don't happen anyway, perhaps card companies are now forced to concentrate on quality instead of quantity.

I'll be giving ITG an honest shot this year. The only Panini/UD product I'm even considering for 12-13 is O-Pee-Chee for my Canucks/OPC collection.
