    The Cup Proof Cards: Where do they come from?

    A bunch of Upper Deck The Cup Proof Cards for Ilya Kovalchuk have popped up. They are all missing serial numbers, autographs, and or memorabilia pieces.

    Where do these cards from and how does someone get so many of them? I have seen The Cup redemption cards that offer a "proof sheet". I thought these proof sheets, once cut up, might be the source of these cards. An info?

    I LOVES 'EM !!!

    They may be worthless, but they're neat. I wouldn't try to get EVERY Kovy but it'd be cool to own one or two, no?

    At first, I those cards didn't interest me at all. Now I, too, am starting to give them a second look. Heck, it will probably be my only chance to get a Kovy NHL shield, 1/1 black, or Limited Logos. For $10 it might be worth the price.

    Maybe, for a goof, I'll pull an NHL shield off one of my old CCM jerseys and stick it on the card! {Don't worry I would never try to resell something like that!!}

    I bought the draft board ones for Okposo and Bailey, was disappointed they don't have the thickness of the regular cards.
