Game Over man....Game OVER!
GG Romney....well, not really:

Swing States poll with only 40 days to go until election:
Florida: Obama 53 - Romney 44
Ohio: Obama 53 - Romney 43
The GOP needs BOTH these states just to be in the running.....if they lose either, it's over. And with only 6 weeks to go, making up a 10 point deficit is almost impossible in politics.
The only thing remaining are the Debates, and we all know how good Obama is as a speaker and debater....

I don't think it's likely that Romney wins, but I'm not willing to write him off. 1 month is a lifetime in the political world. Who knows what gaffe Obama can make/what Romney has left in the arsenal.

I would like to think that it is over but I'm not going to take any chances. I'm going out to vote and I am encouraging everyone else to vote as well. We must keep the pressure on the GOP otherwise face the prospect of 4 years of romney and we cannot afford for that to happen.

Once again it is going to come down to who has the better "get out the vote" organization. I think Obama's is running away with that one.

I don't know, both sides seem over confident right now. Both sides are generally calling for a landslide victory. We know many people simply don't vote if they think their guy is a foregone conclusion. It'll be interesting to see what the voter turnout on this is. I think it'll either be very high or very low.

I think you are making my case. Because of what you say, I think Obama's superior on the ground organization will counter the "stay at home because we are confident" effect, moreso than Romney's.

Romney's base is more gung-ho about politics than Obama's supporters. Either way, I think turnout will be really high or really low and I think it will be a close but decisive Obama victory, though I've been wrong before.

maybe instead of looking at 2008 we should be looking at 2010
