Expectations for your team and bold predictions.
BOLD PREDICTIONS
-Bulls
Italy6158: MAKE THE PLAYOFFS
Italy6158: Joakim Noah MAKING THE ALL-STAR GAME
HEAT: LOSE IN NBA FINALS
LAKERS
Italy6158: WIN NBA FINALS
-NUGGETS
BOBA: GET PASSED THE FIRST ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS
BOBA: TY LAWSON MAKING THE ALL-STAR TEAM
-THUNDER
Italy6158: LOSE IN WESTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
So I thought it would be fun to make a thread where we can post what we expect our team to do this year. Also, I thought it would be fun to make a couple of bold predictions (as you can see above) about your team that we will look back on after the season is over.
For me, I can't wait for the season to start. With the combination of a deep bench and fast, high flying player, I think the Nuggets will a high scoring run you into the ground type team with pretty good defense (with the help of Iggy). I don't think there is a more deep team in the NBA with these players as potential starting lineup:
PG: Lawson
SG: Iggy
SF: Gallo
PF: Faried
C: McGee
and these guys coming off the bench
-Corey Brewer
-Wilson Chandler
-Jordan Hamilton
-Kosta Koufos
-Andre Miller
-Timofey Mozgov
-Anthony Randolph
As for my predictions, I see Ty Lawson beating out one of the regular West guards to the all-star game.
I'm not going to go too crazy or anything, but I think this year the Nuggets will finally get passed the first round.
The only thing I worry about is the 3 point line. Losing Afflalo and Harrington is really going to hurt our 3 point production, hopefully Ty and Gallo can step it up from the 3 point line to make up for them.Last edited by boba; 10-01-2012 at 10:05 PM.

2012-13 Chicago Bulls
Starting Line-up
PG: Kirk Hinrich
SG: Rip Hamilton
C: Joakim Noah
PF: Carlos Boozer
SF: Luol Deng
6th man: Taj Gibson
Despite what many have said, I still think the Bulls can get a 5 or 6th seed in the east and will make the playoffs. I expect Joakim Noah to be selected for his first first all-star appearance and for Boozer and Deng to have solid season hopefully avoiding injuries. I also think Taj Gibson is going to have a great year. He'll be coming off the bench but he will get starter minutes. As for D-Rose, if it were up to me I'd sit him this year or at most test him out at the end of the season with limited minutes.
I predict a game 7 against the lakers and thunder in the west with the lakers ultimately getting to the finals against the Heat. I can't stand the Heat so I hope anybody but them wins it. Going with the Lakers.

I actually didn't realize that Rose wasn't going to be back at the start of the season, shows you how much I've kept up with things. That really hurts, but I do also think the bulls have enough solid players to make the playoffs.

I am a celtics fan.
My expectations is for them to reach the eastern conference finals. They have added depth off the bench in Terry and Lee in the backcourt. One will have to start at the beginning of the season until Bradley is back and healthy. They drafted some interior help in Fab Melo and Jared Sullinger. They also added Darko if Melo isn't ready to help. Garnett seemed to thrive playing at center later on in the year and I think that will be much more common to start the season. I see a record of like 50-32 for the celtics.
