Even if those animals were breeded for such purposes what is the point? Those animals are still living a misreable existance and there are an abundance of no flesh foods that could feed the entire planet.Drug and smoke free trading.

There is some moral ambiguity here. A whale is more important then a cow. Humans were mean to eat protein. Being a vegan is only possible in the developed world. I just think you are approaching the argument slightly off-based.

Not true. There are plenty of vegans in third world countries albiet some by neccessity.

Which countries would these be? India, Pakistan, China do not count as 3rd world now. They are developing. In fact, meat consumption is increasing in these countries. Your best argument is the energy waste part.

I haven't read a word of this thread, so I don't know how or whether it has taken a course other than the topic, but I find it interesting that we get more pages out of this thread than most that discuss much more important issues.
