I still dont understand when making auto cards why make them glossy with UV and that? it has proven before its not the best thing to do, now there are some cards that over the years will only get worse, a few of thoose dual highends its a shame the final product had to come up to that.

(bprice): Next time, if I do this again, I won't u/v the cards.
(21:45:10) (bprice): I guess that would be their complaint. "They didn't even u/v the cards, those autographs are useless. No excuse or explanation for not putting u/v on the cards. I will never buy ITG again."
While it is probably true that some people will complain no matter what you do, this is probably a good idea when using colors other than black. I know diddly-squat about card production but I'm sure I've seen cards with a strip of non-UV-coated to allow for a nice clean auto while still maintaining a glossy look to the rest of the card.
I remain a HUGE fan of ITG but was disappointed in this particular matter. I checked eBay and other sources right when FR came out and it looked like about 40-50% of the red autos had quality problems, which was enough to make me change my plans to crack open several boxes or even a case of FR. It seems enough other people don't care as much, so this really won't hurt ITG in the long run and I'm sure ITG will learn from its error as necessary.
I still haven't cracked a box of Prime, mainly due to the nasty, nasty autos. I think there was enough of an outcry about that as well to say that Panini did NOT get a free pass on that issue.
Anyway, thanks very much to Dr. Price for taking the time to chat - something which is believe certainly demonstrates his commitment to service and is above and beyond expectations! Looking forward to Superlative and HoH!

I still do not like how he brags about his "sellouts." When you make only 1500 boxes then it is going to sell out. You just have to add the number of collectors to ones who buy every new product and you'll sell out every box with only 1500 boxes.
I HATE how they brag about selling out each product. ITS NOT GOOD TO SELLOUT. Look at it this way, Captain C, an 11/12 product is virtually un findable, while 05/05 SP authentic is easy to find. I want to open Captain C, but I can't. ITG really needs to make more of one product.
I realize its hard to mass produce 1 pack, hand packed products, but still, if UD and panini can do it, then ITG can too.

I've been exposed!
A Passing Fancy was a Canadian garage rock band from 1965-67.
We had five singles on Columbia Records and an album was made after I left the band to pursue a degree in dentistry.
You guys know how to do your research.

Because of the no license thing, ITG is a niche product. Some of the sets ITG produces are niches within niches, like Broad St Boys and Forever Rivals to name two recent ones. I had no interest in Broad St Boys, I passed on Captain C to give my wallet a break, so why should ITG be churning it out? These sets aren't cheap to produce, people want to get paid for signing cards and memorabilia costs money. I'm assuming ITG operates on a pretty tight margin, low production runs keep the danger of losing money from having a bunch of overstock no one wants to a minimum, and keeps the "collectiblilty" of the product higher thannnn sayyyyyyy 05/06 SP Authentic, which after the first bunch of top-line autographed RC's, what do you have? Kevin Bieksa cost me a buck! The base set, 100 cards doesn't sell at all for anything beyond $2 either. Too much of a good thing isn't neccessarily better.
To me, ITG is made for collectors who keep their cards, and if you know it's limited to however many cases, you pre-order or be there on day one. Just my opinion, not trying to slag ayone or anything :)
