What do you do with your doubles?

I dont have much, but i was going through my doubles from about 4 or 5 sets that ive been collecting over the past three years. I had bought so many boxes of some of them, i figured i would have some extra base sets. I got an extra base set out of 4 sets without rc's. Still, I had a ton of doubles. I was so frustrated from going through them and putting them in order that I just threw them in the trash. What do you do with your doubles. Am i the only one that trashes them. BTW, they werent high end cards, i probably would have kept them if they were.

I'd recommend saving them up and either finding a bulk buyer or (which would probably be better for you if you are talking a few thousand commons) donate them to a charity or school or boys and girls club. You really wouldn't get anything financially out of it, but if you're just trashing them whats the difference.

I actually used to toss commons back in the early 90's. I'd get tons of cards where people would come into a shop and open cases and just leave the base cards. I'd strip out anything from a semistar and up and trash the rest. I wish I would have given them away. I bet some kids would have loved it.

I've since found a huge bulk buyer but we're talking hundreds or thousands of cards that he buys.

I typically either donate them, or send them out for autographs.

I had been piling up the commons for years, but I recently junked many of mine since I can't find as many set, team, or player collectors these days. I am glad I have been able to send what I've been able to send over the years though. Not all was wasted.
