I`m just wondering about how card companies market their products a little. I`ve noticed quite a few people have been breaking boxes of Grid Iron and Turkey Red FB with great results a few weeks back. I`ve also noticed that people are now getting crappy box breaks. Do you think certain companies release "hotter" boxes at the onset of release to get people excited, then release the crappier boxes as time goes by?
I also noticed a few years ago with 2001 Quantum Leaf FB that auto cards were pretty tough to come by at the start. I was buying 2-3 boxes a month and only pulled 1 auto card(Century Season Signatures #3 John Elway #`d 20/21 redemption(I think, maybe 21/23). Now I see a lot more of these cards out there for trade/sale these days as opposed to a few years ago. Did Donruss hold back on these cards and release them later on so people will continue to buy their product? I`m just wondering if it`s better to buy when the boxes are first released or to wait until they start filling them with better pulls?
I ask this because I`m halfway to my savings point for a case of 2006 SPx or 06 SPA FB when it comes out. Should I take my time and not rush into buying one of these cases right away or simply jump on it as soon as it`s released?
