Not a basketball guy but...
I've always been a fan of the Bulls since the days of Jordan. My question is...are Kirk Hinrich and Tyson Chandler autos expensive? Could someone give me an idea of a decent one to get? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My experience (eBay-wise) from collecting those two is as follows:
Tyson Chandler is relatively inexpensive as far as his autographs go. Any average one outside of his rookie year might go for around $3 on eBay. His rookie year autograph of course will go for more. The subset ones like his Sweet Shot Signature Shot or Ultimate Collection Signatures might go for $5 or so. There's only 4 autographed RCs that I can think of. The cheapest one would be UD Inspirations which also has Marcus Fizer's auto on it and is serialed to 1149. It probably goes for about $6-8. The next is the SP Authentic you were offered, which goes for about $15, so if he's asking for $10-12 that's a pretty good deal. Then you have his SPx and Ultimate Collection auto RCs that go for $20-$25.
Hinrich's autos, on the other hand, are a lot more expensive. In his rookie year he only signed for Topps products and since then it appears he has only signed Upper Deck products. From his rookie year, the average subset autos, like Topps Mark of Excellence or Pristine Personal Endorsements, go for at least $15 if not more. As for his RC autograph issues, the cheapest would be Topps Finest. It's serialed to 999 and goes for about $15. After that you have his Bowman Signature Edition and Topps Jersey Edition issues, serialed to 1250 and 499 respectively. You're looking at $20-25 for either of those. Next is Bowman Chrome which is serialed to 250. You never really know what these auctions will go for, but I'd say $80 is a good start. The most expensive one is his regular Bowman auto issue. I don't know what the story is behind this card. Originally it was a redemption. I tried to get one redeemed and after several months went by Topps mailed me replacement cards for it saying that they couldn't get him to sign them. Now all of the sudden their out on the market and going for well over $100. I'm not exactly sure what happened or how many there are out there. All I know is that I got screwed as my replacement cards were a Dunleavy Finest auto RC and a Morris Peterson jersey card.
His second and third year cards that he's signed for Upper Deck are about as expensive as his rookie year autos. An average one will go for at least $10. After that, it all depends on the set and the scarcity of the card.
For Chandler, I would recommend any of his four RC autos. His cards may have recently gotten a little bit of a boost since he's been playing better, but on the whole there about as cheap as they ever were. For Hinrich, if you got the money to spring for his Bowman Chrome RC auto do that. It's a sharp looking card. However, he is featured in his Kansas attire. If you looking for something a little less expensive, either the Bowman Signature or Topps Jersey Edition is nice and features him in a Bulls uniform. Here's some scans of Chandler and Hinrich autos that I have in my collection:
01 - 02 SP Authentic Chandler AU RC
01 - 02 SP Authentic Signatures Chandler
01 - 02 UD Inspirations Chandler/Fizer Dual Auto
01 - 02 UD Sweet Shot Signature Shot Chandler
02 - 03 UD Glass Auto Focus Chandler
02 - 03 Upper Deck Game Jersey Autographed Chandler
02 - 03 UD Sweet Shot Signature Shots Chandler
03 - 04 Bowman Signature Edition Hinrich AU JSY RC
03 - 04 Finest Hinrich AU RC
03 - 04 Topps Mark of Excellence Hinrich
03 - 04 Topps Chrome Chromographs Hinrich
03 - 04 Topps Jersey Edition Hinrich AU JSY RC
03 - 04 Topps Pristine Personal Endorsements Hinrich
05 - 06 UD Portraits Dual Signatures Hinrich/Simien
Hope that helps.

matt_curren: Thanks for the reply. It's a nice looking card, but I don't think I'm gonna buy anything at the moment. I was really just looking around to see what opinions people had about cards I should be on the lookout for. A little strapped for cash and I'm saving what I can for a card show next month.
LeChuck: Thanks for all the info. That is exactly what I was looking for when I started this thread.
